Maica supports a range of funding structures, including NDIS agency-managed, NDIS plan-managed, self-funded, home care packages, CHSP, and block funding. Our service agreement structure will allow you to capture any funding structure working alongside our service delivery solution.
Maica is fully PACE compliant and will work natively with participants on PACE plans. All invoicing, billing, and claiming processes are compliant with PACE as well as our native PRODA API integration, so you can rest easy knowing that all your NDIS participants are looked after using Maica.
You technically don't need an implementation to get started with Maica provided our out-of-the-box features work for you. We do typically have some extensions we see our customers wanting, such as online referral forms, document generation, etc which will require a level of implemention work; this also depends on how much you can do internally.
Maica's number one mantra is compliance and integration with government legislation and digital systems. The NDIS digital infrastructure has been completely integrated into Maica and we are ready to do the same for Aged and Home Care, although the government systems are not yet available to us to do. When they are ready, so will we.
The Maica product has been designed and developed, in large part by the sector community itself, to empower the entire participant life cycle across multiple funding sources and billing processes. This also includes the ability to schedule shifts and appointments as well as roster your care team as well as generate and record timesheets.
There are a number of way this can be done. The Salesforce platform, on which Maica is built, offers a range of rules configuration options, including flows and validation rules. Maica natively respects Salesforce validation rules and will prompt the user with any violations to these rules which are completely configurable by you.
When building business-critical software, it is important to consider the underlying plumbing, such as compliance, security, data safety, sharing rules, auditing, workflow configuration abilities, and reporting. Whilst these are not directly functional requirements, they are non-negotiable to us. We have elected to use the Salesforce Platform Starter solution to provide these functions as a leading development platform.
The short answer is yes you can. Maica is built on the Salesforce platform and therefore you will be able to develop your own Salesforce Flows, including the ability to interact with Maica data objects and workflows. The depth of the capability of these flows will be directly dependent on the Salesforce edition you are signed up to.
You can absolutely extend the data model around Maica within your Salesforce environment. You will find many data model configuration tools and options, depending on the Salesforce edition you have signed up for. This includes being able to add new data objects, data fields, page layouts, validation rules, among other features.
The Salesforce platform offers a number of editions starting with Platform Starter all the way up to Enterprise, which could include Service Cloud or Health Cloud. Maica is available on the Salesforce Platform Starter edition which will be automatically included in your license but can also be installed into any other Salesforce edition, if you have already purchased these.
Award interpretation is a common requirement and we have intergrated into a set of strong third-party solutions to bring this natively into Maica. These include KeyPay (to EmploymentHero) and 2CloudNine. This provides you with the ability to understand the cost of your care team following the delivery of services as well as plan based on costs prior to finalising your schedule of supports.
There are essentially two ways to puchase Maica; the first one is to simply download your trial from the AppExchange which we will then convert to your Maica production system. The other way is to install Maica into your existing Salesforce environment; this includes any environment purchased directly from Salesforce through your account executive.
